Wes Anderson Week: Rushmore (1998)
filmosophy:
I WROTE A HIT PLAY AND DIRECTED IT, SO I’M NOT SWEATING IT EITHER
by Erica Ulstrom
Max Fischer may be Wes Anderson’s sweetest character.
Son of a barber (though he tells his prestigious private schoolmates he is a neurosurgeon) and a dead mother, enthusiastic Jack of All Extracurricular Trades. Likely future cult leader, entrepreneur or coup d‘état organizer.
Max at 15 is...
The Fountain (2006)
filmosophy:
YOU PULL ME THROUGH TIME.
by Chad Perman
When a film as bold, strange, confusing and beautiful as Darren Aronofsky’s The Fountain comes along, you can either pick it apart endlessly or simply give yourself over to it. A philosophical art-house love story dolled up as a time-bending science fiction epic, The Fountain is a frustrating and rewarding film, a reminder of art’s...

Wow.
This went from a completely sub-par[ish] day to incredibly awesome!
Started out with Percussion rehearsal from 9am-5pm… how boooring. [$1 Ikea meatballs in between… how deliciously frugal!]
Clarinet section dinner at Applebees… wasn’t really my cup of tea, as I didn’t really know anyone there.
Then… PASSION PIT! Where to start? Well… there was a long...

Dude, Where's My Hovercar?
While cooking boxed Mac & Cheese, a thought hit me.
What happened to the future that was promised 50 years ago?
Where are the hovercars?
Where are the 3 course meals in capsules?
Why isn’t there any talking computers with witty one-liners?
Why is it that instead of all of this, we decided to invent things like the Snuggie and the Segway?
I’ll take the kitschy future that was...

I haven’t posted a legit post in a while.
Today, I linked my Pandora Feed to Tumblr, so be ready for some exciting posts!
Last night was great; I realized all of the work I’ve put in, as well as what I’ve gained from my experiences. It was overwhelming to say the least. Some say that it’s all a waste of time, and to that I say, you probably didn’t put much into it.
