Anonymous asked: what are some good songs to study to?
That depends on the person, I guess. Personally, I find music with vocals distracting, so I prefer instrumental tunes. This might put most people to sleep; I like to be relaxed when studying or doing homework.
El Ten Eleven - Estrella
Baths - Maximalist
Helios - Coast Off
Bibio - Lover’s Carvings
Kaki King - Gay Sons of Lesbian Mothers
Boards of Canada - Chromakey Dreamcoat (This is from The Campfire Headphase, my favorite study album)
The Dandelion Council - Starlit Days and Nights
Ghosts and Vodka - It’s All About Right Then
Shlohmo - Wen Uuu
Steve Reich - Electric Counterpoint Fast II
Sweet Mother Logic - Lord Tennyson
Tycho - PBS/KAE
The Album Leaf - The Outer Banks (From In a Safe Place, another good study album
The Six Parts Seven - Stolen Moments
The Mercury Program - To/From Iceland
Four Tet - She Just Likes to Fight
Sigur Ros - Untitled #3
Lymbyc Systm - Notations
Loscil - Sickbay
Kings of Convenience - Renegade
High Highs - Flowers Bloom
The Decemberists - Shankill Butchers
Lateduster - Shaker/Flicker
Pat Metheny Group - The Way Up: Opening
Miles Davis - So What
Anything that is performed by Bill Evans/Bill Evans Trio.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there’s something you dig so I can give you better suggestions.
